Foreign Ministry spokesperson on the link between the visit of Pakistan’s army commander and the visit of Oman’s foreign minister to Iran:

Pakistan’s army commander’s trip to Tehran is expected to take place today, and it is being carried out within the framework of very good and excellent relations between Iran and Pakistan.

Pakistan, at the same time, for several months had been trying and making fine efforts to help reduce tensions in the region.

Oman’s trip has nothing to do with this issue; it has only coincided almost in terms of timing.

This trip is expected to take place tomorrow, and discussions will be held both in relation to bilateral relations and in relation to issues related to the security of the Strait of Hormuz and its transit routes, as two coastal states of this waterway.
