In continuation of reports on the intensification of Iran’s economic crisis amid war and a naval blockade, the head of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce said that sanctions have become tougher and more impenetrable, and that the government’s revenues have fallen sharply. At the same time, in an interview with the Iranian Labour News Agency, labor activists said that the poverty line has passed 70 million tomans, and that the monthly cost of living for a working family is estimated to be between 80 and 90 million tomans.
