🔻The International Football Federation (FIFA) says Gianni Infantino, the head of this body, rejects the allegation that UEFA paid a woman described as his “mistress.”

The British newspaper The Daily Telegraph, in a report, has claimed that this payment was made at a time when Mr. Infantino was the UEFA secretary general.

A FIFA spokesperson said the claim is “completely false.”

UEFA has confirmed that the employee referred to in the Daily Telegraph report received an amount for severance pay and leaving UEFA, and that it also paid for her education in the field of business management. However, the European football body emphasized that all of these payments were made within the framework of the regulations.
