🔻Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says no decision has yet been made to resume talks with the United States.

According to ISNA, Araghchi said that Qatar and Pakistan are in contact with Iran as mediators and messages are being exchanged, but these contacts “do not mean negotiations at all.”

He also said that what is stated in the Islamabad memorandum of understanding “was the end of the war,” not a ceasefire, adding that the United States violated that agreement and fighting resumed. According to him, therefore, there has been no such thing as a “60-day ceasefire” that would require an extension.

The Iranian foreign minister also said that the previous routes for contacting the United States are no longer effective and that Tehran is designing “a temporary route” that, in later stages, will become the final route.
