Iran’s official news agency, IRNA, reported: “Minutes ago, the sound of an explosion was heard near Qeshm Island.”

IRNA wrote: “It appears the sound came from the sea and no impact occurred within the territory of Qeshm Island.”

Based on this report, “local sources have not commented on the matter so far.”

Meanwhile, some Telegram channels associated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps wrote: “The sounds heard in the Strait of Hormuz are the result of the firing of 2 anti-ship cruise missiles at unlawful vessels.”

In this regard, the IRGC News channel wrote: “The third anti-ship cruise missile was fired a few minutes ago from near the city of Sirik toward the Strait of Hormuz.”
