🔻Iranian media report that the Asian Football Confederation has sent a new letter stating that the deadline for Esteghlal to introduce the stadium that would host their matches in the AFC Champions League has ended, and the AFC will clarify which venue the Blues’ matches will be held at.
🔹Previously, Ali Tajarnia, the chairman of Esteghlal’s board of directors, had said that this club would introduce the Basra Stadium in Iraq as the venue for their AFC Champions League competitions. It was also said that Uzbekistan would be the replacement option for Iraq.
🔹According to Fars, neither the Iraq federation nor Uzbekistan provided final confirmation for Esteghlal’s hosting within the allotted time, so the Asian Football Confederation sent an email announcing that it will decide on the matter itself and that Esteghlal will have no role in it.
🔹Tractor from Oman and Gol Gohar from Tajikistan have introduced Oman and Tajikistan as the third countries for hosting their Asian matches.
