🔸The Islamic Republic of Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday, in a statement confirming the deaths and injuries of several people in the United States’ recent attack on Larak Island, accused this country of “violating national sovereignty” and “military aggression” against Iran.

🔸According to the statement, Iranian armed forces attacked U.S. military bases in Jordan “in accordance with the inherent right of legitimate self-defense.” In the statement, Jordan is presented as the “origin and supporter of the U.S. military aggression” against Iran.

🔸This comes while, prior to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ statement, the Islamic Republic’s army had reported a drone attack on a base in the United Arab Emirates, but the foreign ministry’s statement does not mention that attack.

🔸In its statement, the Islamic Republic’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the United States and Israel as the “agents of insecurity on the shipping route in the region,” and said that Iranian armed forces will respond to “any military aggression by the enemy.”
