🔸The Iranian Press Photographers’ Association, expressing concern about the situation of Majid Saeedi, the news photographer and member of this association, announced that more than 14 days after his arrest, his family, relatives, and colleagues still have no information about his condition.

🔸The association said in a statement on Tuesday, 31 Shahrivar, that from the first hours after learning of Majid Saeedi’s arrest, it had followed up on his situation through professional and legal channels, including through the Press Affairs Deputyship of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance of the Islamic Republic.

🔸Based on this statement, despite the follow-ups, no clear information has so far been provided to his family and the association regarding the agency that detained him, the place where he is being held, or the charges attributed to this well-known news photographer.

🔸The Iranian Press Photographers’ Association, pointing to the role of press photographers in recording and narrating events, called for his situation to be clarified and for the conditions for Majid Saeedi’s release to be provided, and said it will continue to pursue his case through legal and professional channels.

🔸Mehdi Saeedi wrote in a message on Instagram on Wednesday, 18 Shahrivar, that security forces went to his brother’s home on Wednesday and arrested him.
