Iraq’s Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement that, at the order of the commander-in-chief of the armed forces, the level of security and combat readiness of the country’s security and military forces will be increased.

The statement said the measure will include conducting training exercises and redeploying units.

The Prime Minister’s Office announced that the decision was taken within the framework of maintaining high readiness across all formations of the security forces, strengthening their ability to carry out assigned duties, helping to stabilize security and stability, and protecting citizens and public interests.
