Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defense has announced the appointment of Abdullah bin Salem Al-Shahri, a naval force lieutenant general, as commander of a multinational defensive naval coalition, and stated that a meeting of the planners of this coalition will be held on the 21st and 22nd of Mordad to complete the organizational structure and to add new members.
The Saudi Ministry of Defense said the appointment of Abdullah bin Salem Al-Shahri was carried out in the course of establishing the multinational defensive naval coalition, with the aim of completing the command structure and increasing its operational readiness.
According to this statement, the new commander will be responsible for leading the joint naval defense command, coordinating among the member countries and other naval coalitions, and carrying out joint missions.
