Irfan Qanei-Fard, a Middle East analyst, referring to an attack on the East–West pipeline of Saudi Arabia, said the aim is to make the country’s alternative oil transport route insecure, and that the Islamic Republic, using the Houthis and Shia armed groups in Iraq, is seeking to intensify the security pressure on Saudi Arabia.
