Ismail Baghaei, spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic, on Thursday, 2 Mehr 1405, criticized Prime Minister Mark Carney of Canada’s remarks about a threat against Tehran, and said that instead of condemning the United States’ actions, Carney has aligned himself with Washington’s positions.

Baghaei wrote on his X account that the Canadian prime minister described the threat to “destroy” Iran as merely “talking the language of war.”

He also wrote that cooperating with major powers “cannot guarantee the security of countries.”

The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic also wrote that countries that give in to pressure from the United States will ultimately become vulnerable to that same power. He added that by standing firm against pressure, Iran has protected human values and reason against “force.”
