Earlier today (Saturday), the Israeli Defense Forces carried out an operation in the Deir al-Balah area and eliminated Sharif al-Hasanāt, a terrorist and company commander in the Deir al-Balah Battalion in Hamas’s military wing.

During the war, this terrorist participated in leading efforts to rebuild Hamas’s underground infrastructure.

Recently, the terrorist continued to advance terrorist attacks against Israeli Defense Forces and Israeli civilians.

The terrorist was an immediate threat to the Israeli Defense Forces and was eliminated to remove the threat.

Prior to the strike, measures were taken to reduce harm to civilians, including the use of precise munitions and aerial surveillance.
