Israeli internal security agency Shin Bet confirmed the immediate transfer of Yair Netanyahu, son of Benjamin Netanyahu, from the United States to Israel following threats against his life.

The agency told Israel’s Channel 12 that Yair Netanyahu had been targeted by a plot for the Islamic Republic’s assassination in December of last year.

Shahram Khaledi, a researcher of Middle East history and international relations, said that the Islamic Republic has entered a new phase of global “proxy terrorism” against Jews.
