Johann Weddelvoll, Germany’s foreign minister, announced on the X social network that he spoke with Abbas Araqchi and urged the Islamic Republic to constructively enter negotiations with its regional neighbors and the United States in order to end the fighting.

He stressed that the Strait of Hormuz must be reopened without any conditions so that free and secure navigation for everyone is guaranteed.
