Kayhan newspaper, published under the supervision of the representative of Iran’s Supreme Leader, wrote in a note: “What is being pursued on the diplomatic scene under the guise of the trip of Aasım Munir, commander of Pakistan’s army, and Badr al-Busaidi, Oman’s foreign minister, to Tehran, before it is an independent initiative, is the unveiling of a new phase of the White House’s deception operation.”
Kayhan added: “America, which is facing severe attrition in its naval forces on the battlefield, an energy crisis, and an unprecedented rise in the yield on bond papers at home, is trying to conceal its strategic defeat by, on the one hand, the stick of sanctions and, on the other, sending diplomatic messages.”
The newspaper wrote: “The calculation room of the Islamic Republic has read the hands of the deceivers and is aware that the destination of these comings and goings is to one-sidedly criticize concessions without giving real reciprocal value.”
Kayhan also wrote about Aasım Munir’s presence in Tehran: “The presence of Aasım Munir, an American piece, in Tehran, especially after a direct phone call with reckless Trump, is more than a balanced diplomatic move—it is the execution of a mission assigned by the White House.”
