Leila Morvati, a political analyst, said, referring to Donald Trump’s request for countries to join in supporting the economic isolation of the Islamic Republic, that governments make decisions about Iran sanctions based on their own interests and relations.

She added that countries such as Iraq and Turkey will be put under pressure by the United States, while Russia and China may ignore parts of the sanctions.
