Masoud Pezeshkian, head of the government of the Islamic Republic, at the general assembly of the “Islamic Association of the Iranian Medical Society,” said: “Apart from the issue of financial constraints and the enemy’s maritime blockade, which have made our exports and imports face a problem, who has said that the government should buy 130-thousand-toman gasoline and then sell it for 1,500 tomans?”

He added: “This is while we are encountering limitations in order to increase the validity of the ‘kala-barg’ vouchers, settle the financial obligations of wheat farmers, insurance, workers’ livelihoods, and for retirees and employees.”

Pezeshkian further said: “The government is facing financial constraints; when we give slogans, we must also accept the hardship that comes with them.”
