🗣Your account: fuel crisis and gasoline in the country - Friday, 30 Mordad
🔹If there is no gasoline, then what are all these cars turning flags for?
🔹Right now, gas stations in Mashhad are closed and long lines have formed at petrol pumps. Even private and luxury stations like the one at the beginning of Qayam Boulevard, which sell gasoline “for free” along with a service cost, have long lines. Most stations do not have a free fuel ration card, and even those that do, only have one card.
🔹People will no longer be fooled by cheap promises and lies about the low price of gasoline. A teacher who earns 25 million tomans in salary finds gasoline of 1,500 tomans expensive too. Make it expensive—then the national uprising will begin sooner than expected. Try it.
🔹If the Islamic Republic has the nerve, then raise the price of gasoline. People are looking for an excuse. Protests are not just about getting out into the streets. People have no more respect or dignity left to give to this system; we will all continue.
🔹On Thursday, 29 Mordad, in west Tehran, the Jalal Al-e Ahmad petrol pump is closed and there is no gasoline. The Ariyafar petrol pump is also extremely crowded.
🔹We have been put on a loop again; we are experiencing the 1980s all over again. War and bombing, shortage of goods, rationing and coupons, falling oil revenues and severe economic pressure; gasoline is also rationed and so on.
🔹Since they said gasoline would be raised in price, more checkpoints have been set up, and flag-waving people are also roaming the streets until late at night.
🔹Today, Wednesday, 28 Mordad, I went to several CNG stations to add CNG to my car, but they were closed. For gasoline as well, I went to a few stations, and they were closed too. It took a few hours before I could finally get gasoline.
🔹Some petrol stations only have diesel until 11 a.m., and most stations don’t have diesel at all. Last month, this situation continued as well.
🔹Regarding the increase in gasoline prices, the discussion that the price would be 87,000 tomans is only to prepare people’s minds for later prices of 25,000 or 30,000 tomans, but people won’t be fooled. Gasoline is a red line for the people.
🔹In Qeshm, for several months now we have been facing a shortage of fuel. There is little fuel, the fuel card doesn’t work, and gasoline is very expensive. A one-and-a-half liter jug of gasoline costs 150,000 tomans.
🔹Today in Isfahan, we stood in line for hours and in the end they said there is no gasoline. The shortage of gasoline has trapped people across the whole country. Iran is the world’s third country with oil reserves.
🔹Tonight, I went to three petrol pumps to get gasoline, but all three were closed. One of them had a banner installed that said: “We don’t have gasoline.”
🔹The gasoline price increase with a price of 87,000 tomans in Kerman was not supposed to be implemented. They only kept people’s minds busy with this price so that later, by announcing a lower price, the shock to them would be less.
🔹The fuel station has announced that the Kermanshah refinery intentionally delivered neither gasoline nor diesel to the stations since last night, and that every request they made, they were told there is no available fuel.
