🔸Massoud Pezeshkian’s executive deputy says many people are satisfied with the government’s performance, but according to recently conducted opinion polls, 80 percent of them are worried about livelihoods and rising prices.

🔸Mohammad-Jafar Qaem-Panâh, in an interview with ISNA’s online TV, pointed to some figures from recent government opinion polls and said that livelihoods, negotiations, and internet filtering are among the main concerns of the people, adding: «50 to 60 percent of people want negotiations with the United States.»

🔸These remarks were made a few days after it was raised that Mohammadreza Aref, Iran’s First Vice President, admitted that the price hikes of goods «have a disturbing situation» and warned that the United States is seeking to create dissatisfaction and social breakdown in the country.

🔸Despite people’s desire, Iranian officials in recent weeks and after the latest round of clashes with the United States in July have repeatedly said that no negotiations with Washington will take place.

🔸Donald Trump, the U.S. president, on Monday and at the same time as the end of the two-month deadline of the Islamabad agreement signed by him and Iran’s president, emphasized that he does not intend to extend the agreement.
