🔻 Meeting between Pakistan and Iran foreign ministers in New York

Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, and Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, met and held talks on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.

Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs wrote in a post on the X social network that the two sides discussed bilateral relations and exchanged views regarding regional and international developments.

According to Pakistan, Mr. Dar stressed “the importance of dialogue, diplomacy, and continued engagement in strengthening regional peace and stability,” and “the parties agreed to maintain close communication.”

Pakistan is one of the main mediators between Iran and the United States.
