Mehdi Mahdavī-Āzād said on the program “Eyedenshāz” that alongside the continuation of the Islamic Republic’s tensions with the United States and Tehran’s refusal to negotiate, officials of the government are warning about measures to reduce the reserves of essential goods and the danger of famine. He added that in such conditions, intensifying Washington’s pressures in practice means Iran’s entry into an “all-out economic war,” which could deepen the economic crisis.
