Mehdi Mahdavi-Azad said on the program “Outlook” that the government’s claims about reducing the gasoline deficit do not match reality, and that the situation of gasoline consumption and production in Iran is more critical than what officials announce.

He added that even if tensions with the world decrease, the Islamic Republic has no choice but to raise the price of gasoline to make up for the fuel imbalance.
