As Iran and Oman move closer to an agreement over the Strait of Hormuz, discussions in American media about the consequences of this deal have continued, but today the issue has moved up one level.

New reports show that disagreements over the options ahead have now reached the cabinet and the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff.

CNN has reported that the highest-ranking U.S. military official is seeking a way out of the war and to save American troops, while in Congress there is the voice of supporters of the collapse of the Islamic Republic and calls for more serious steps by Donald Trump, including arming Iranian protesters.

Although more than six months have passed since the bloody protests in Iran in Dey, the New York Times, in a detailed report, has written about the disillusionment of Iranians who had believed Donald Trump’s promise of help and, in practice, while the protesting Iranians are still living through crisis, Donald Trump is looking to end the war.
