Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf, the Speaker of Parliament, said in a Tuesday online session on 27 Mordad that until the naval blockade of Iran’s ports is lifted, the frozen assets are not released, the oil sanctions do not end, and threats and military operations across all fronts do not stop, the Strait of Hormuz will not be reopened.

He said the Islamic Republic’s military forces, with “intelligent operational design” and under the guidance of Mojtaba Khamenei, “dealt the enemy such a blow that the whole world recognized our victory.”

Qalibaf added that the opportunity created following the understandings and the ceasefire has helped increase the Islamic Republic’s economic resilience and rebuild its defensive capabilities.

He emphasized: “The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to impose a heavier defeat on the enemy than before, in proportion to the enemy’s actions and meddling.”
