On the fourth anniversary of the government killing of Mahsa Amini, some Iranians in Los Angeles, by holding a rally and a march, commemorated her and other victims of nationwide uprisings in Iran in the past years and emphasized continued accountability-seeking and the struggle for freedom.
Asal Pehlevan, a political activist and a member of the Los Angeles organizing committee, told Iran International’s reporter Niloufar Mansouri about the connection between the “Woman, Life, Freedom” movement and the protests of Dey: “From the uprising of Mahsa to the Young People’s Lion and Sun Revolution for freedom, they came to the streets, and this path has continued until 1404.”
She added: “We will never forget the killed and those executed, and the torch of them is in our hands for the freedom of Iran.”
