🔶 Houthi’s take responsibility for missile and drone attacks on Saudi Arabia

The Houthis in Yemen said they were responsible for recent attacks on Saudi Arabia and announced that, with dozens of ballistic missiles and drones, they targeted objectives in Riyadh and “Aramco” facilities—the Saudi oil company in the port city of Yanbu.

Saudi Arabia confirmed the attacks on Riyadh and several other cities and said that the country’s air defenses intercepted and destroyed a missile launched toward Riyadh, while attacks on Yanbu and other areas were also repelled.

Turki Al Maliki, the spokesperson of the military coalition led by Saudi Arabia, early on Saturday, 28 Shahrivar (19 September), said that the country’s air force intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile. According to Al Maliki, attempts to target non-civilian areas and infrastructure in Bishah, Taif, Farasan, and Yanbu were also neutralized.

Witnesses previously reported an explosion and a fire involving a fuel tank near the international airport in Riyadh, which disrupted the airport’s operations for a time. Saudi officials initially did not state the cause of the fire.
