Pakistan Interior Minister Mohsen Raza Naqvi arrived in Tehran to hold talks with officials of the Islamic Republic.
The trip is being carried out as part of Islamabad’s mediation between Tehran and Washington. Since Ordibehesht, Naqvi has visited Tehran several times, and on previous trips he met with Masoud Pezeshkian, the president, Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf, the speaker of the parliament, Abbas Araqchi, the foreign minister, and Eskandar Momeni, the interior minister.
Based on earlier reports, Naqvi, on one of his trips, was carrying a message from Asim Munir, the head of the Pakistan Army General Staff, for Mojtaba Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Republic.
Since the start of the war on 9 Esfand, Pakistan has become the main intermediary between the United States and the Islamic Republic.
