🔻 Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate: Israeli forces committed 108 attacks on journalists in July

The Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate has reported recording 108 attacks by Israeli forces on journalists and media staff in July.

According to this report, rights violations included “arrest, beating, detention, and preventing coverage of events, alongside attacks by settlers, raids on homes and media institutions, and the seizure or destruction of equipment.”

“Detention and preventing news coverage” topped this list with 58 cases, followed by 12 cases of “exposure to sound and gas bombs,” 11 attacks by settlers, and six cases of beatings.

The syndicate also said that four journalists, while covering events in Gaza, suffered injuries that led to bleeding, including shrapnel wounds.

The Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate called for the protection of journalists and accountability for these attacks.
