Peydam Zangouei, a researcher and expert in military and strategic affairs, told Iran International about the continuation of the naval blockade and the heavy costs of protecting shipping routes to Iran.
Zangouei says that the United States is trying to control energy prices by maintaining naval pressure and disrupting commercial routes, while also buying time until it reaches a “suitable time window” for its next operation.
Zangouei also emphasizes that the consequences of the slowdown at the Port of Rajaee and disruptions in the entry of raw materials, industrial parts, and essential goods will be passed directly on to society.
