🔶 Reaction by Baqer Qalibaf to Russia and China’s veto of the U.S. resolution
Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, in a message on the X social network, referring to the veto of the U.S. draft resolution to extend the mandate of the committee of experts overseeing sanctions on Iran by China and Russia, wrote: “The unipolar order in which one side obtained concessions through force and coercion has come to an end. China and Russia’s vetoes reject the political abuse of the Security Council and once again emphasize the rule of law.”
Qalibaf added in this message: “We must defend multilateralism. Unilateralism is to the benefit of nobody.”
Previously, on Thursday, September 17 (Shahrivar 26), Russia and China vetoed the U.S. draft resolution to extend the mandate of the committee of experts overseeing sanctions on Iran in the United Nations Security Council.
