🔸Reuters: An Iranian senior official says we are ready to launch an attack and break the naval blockade

Reuters news agency on Monday, 26 Mordad (17 August), citing an Iranian senior official, reported that if the United States does not fully implement the interim peace memorandum within a few weeks, Iran will increase tensions in the Strait of Hormuz and other areas and carry out an attack.

The Iranian official, whose name Reuters did not disclose, warned that if the U.S. does not meet its commitments by the deadline set and diplomatic efforts fail, Tehran will carry out a “timely and precise” military attack to break the naval blockade imposed by the Islamic Republic by the United States.

The senior Iranian official, continuing his remarks to Reuters, said: “Within the short few-week deadline set by Iran, the U.S. must implement all provisions of the agreement, and this is a precondition for the continuation of negotiations with the U.S.” He added that intermediaries will convey the details of the deadline set by Tehran to Washington and regional countries.
