🔸Trump approved a “direct communication channel” with the IRGC

Donald Trump, the U.S. president, on Monday, 26 Mordad (17 August), in an interview with the Fox News network, confirmed that alongside the end of the 60-day period set in the memorandum of understanding, there is an informal communication channel with officials of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

Trump went on to say that Iran should “raise the white flag of surrender.” He added that it has no specific timeline for reaching an agreement and that he is not in a hurry in this regard.

The U.S. president also described Iranians as “good poker players,” but claimed that “they are in the process of being destroyed.”

Regarding the Strait of Hormuz, he also warned that if Oman creates obstacles along the path of U.S. efforts to control this waterway, the United States will heavily bomb and destroy that country. Trump also called the amount of ammunition used against the Islamic Republic “insignificant” compared to America’s military capability.

He then, on his social media on “Truth Social,” emphasized that the main goal of the United States is still to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.
