🔻Reuters: Continued uncertainty over the Strait of Hormuz reduced ship traffic through this route again

🔻Based on shipping data published on Wednesday, the pattern of ship traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has been low in the past day, as most shipowners have avoided the area due to the lack of clear signs that this route would reopen.

Reuters reported that, based on data from the company Kpler, by 02:58 Greenwich Mean Time on Wednesday, six cargo ships passed through the strait in the previous day.

This figure is down from nine ships that passed the day before and is below the daily average of 11 ships in the past 10-day period.

. On Tuesday, Donald Trump, the U.S. president, announced that there are no negotiations with Iran underway and emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz is open; remarks that conflict with Iran’s claim that this strait is closed to shipping.

Before the U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iran, one-fifth of the world’s shipments of crude oil and liquefied natural gas passed through this strait.
