The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council strongly condemned the Islamic Republic of Iran’s “aggressive” attack on the United Arab Emirates using a drone.

Jassim al-Badewi, in a statement, emphasized that this violation represents a dangerous escalation and an overt breach of the sovereignty, security, and stability of the United Arab Emirates, and also a direct threat to the lives and well-being of the country’s citizens.

He said that the GCC member states stand alongside the United Arab Emirates against anything that threatens its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

The GCC Secretary General also stressed the need to immediately halt these attacks and hostile actions by the Islamic Republic, and placed full responsibility for its consequences on the Tehran government.
