🔸 Seven killed following Houthi attack on port city of Mocha

The Yemeni army announced on Monday, August 10 (19 Mordad) that as a result of an attack by Houthi militia on the port city of Mocha on the Red Sea coast, seven people were killed and dozens were injured. Some of the dead were civilians.

In a statement released by the Yemeni army in this regard, it said that “four military personnel and three civilians were killed and 30 others were injured” as a result of the attack.

The Yemeni army also said that in its air defense it shot down a number of Houthi drones that were used in the attack.

Al Masirah television network, affiliated with the Houthi rebels, published images showing the firing of several ballistic missiles and drones. Yahya Sarea, the spokesperson of the Houthi militia, claimed in a Telegram message that the targets of these attacks were Saudi forces’ positions and weapons depots.

The Yemeni army also said that the Houthi attacks targeted residential areas in the city of Mocha.

The Houthi militia are considered among the proxy groups of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the region and receive weapons from Iran.
