🔸 Six dead and ten injured in Houthi attacks on a cargo ship near the Strait of Bab al-Mandab

According to the Yemeni Coast Guard, following two consecutive attacks by Houthi militia on a cargo ship near the Strait of Bab al-Mandab, at least six people were killed and 10 others were injured. The report says that in the first attack, four crew members of the ship “Tahama” lost their lives, and then in the second attack, two members of the rescue forces were killed.

According to the Yemeni Coast Guard, the first attack caused a fire on the cargo ship carrying food supplies, and the second attack targeted the site of rescue and recovery operations, which, in addition to the deaths of two rescuers, led to the injury of a number of personnel present at the operation.

The report says that the four crew members killed included three Pakistani nationals and one Indonesian national.

Meanwhile, media outlets affiliated with the Iran-backed Houthis have confirmed the occurrence of an attack on Yemen’s coasts. In those reports, it is claimed that the ship was carrying “Saudi Arabia’s military equipment.” The Houthis have not made any official comment on the attack so far.
