A joint task force of the Western Hemisphere under the command of U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) carried out a deadly attack against a speedboat traveling along a route identified for smuggling drugs in the Caribbean Sea.

SOUTHCOM confirmed that the vessel had actively played a role in drug trafficking. During the operation, four terrorist smugglers were killed.
