Spain’s prime minister, Pedro Sánchez, said that social networks linked to Russia and Israel deliberately amplified false information related to the migrant crisis in Ceuta on July 30 and 31 in order to destabilize Spain and Europe.

Sánchez accused networks “linked to Russia and also Israel” of spreading fake news and added that this was done alongside an “international extremist group” that uses migration to “attack Spain and sow division in Europe.”
