🔶 Merz warns of "significant damage" if AfD wins

Friedrich Merz, the Chancellor of Germany, warned that an election victory by the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party in the state election in Saxony-Anhalt could lead to “significant damage” for this state.

Merz said on Sunday, in an interview with Germany’s First television channel, “I don’t think that if there were a state prime minister from the Alternative for Germany, foreign investors would continue to attend groundbreaking ceremonies for new factory openings and the creation of new jobs in Saxony-Anhalt.”
