Surangel Whipps Jr., President of Palau, said at the United Nations General Assembly that disruption to an important waterway threatens international stability, energy security, and global trade.

He, while announcing support for the sovereignty of Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, condemned the Islamic Republic’s actions endangering maritime security and its efforts to create an obstacle and close the Strait of Hormuz.
