🔺Taiwan will increase its defense budget at the request of the United States

▪The government of Taiwan intends to increase the defense budget in the year 2027 by 16 percent, and for the first time raise the total spending related to defending this island to more than one trillion Taiwan dollars; a move that is taking place at the same time as China’s increased military pressures and the United States’ request to Taiwan to strengthen its defensive capabilities.
