Tankers Trackers, an independent ship-tracking organization, announced an oil leak in the Strait of Hormuz, which is likely the result of the Islamic Republic’s attack on 12 Mordad on the vessel “Minyuan Pioneer” in the waters of the Omani province of Musandam.
According to the company, the oil slick caused by this attack, after passing through the Strait of Hormuz, reached Iran’s shores.
Also, Ehsed Siddiqi, the head of the Directorate-General for Marine Pollution at the Department of Environment, said on Wednesday, 21 Mordad, in an interview with Fars News Agency, which is affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, that there has been oil contamination on the shores of Soza, Shib-e Daraz, Naqasheh, and parts of Hengam Island.
