The foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, held a meeting in which they discussed the most important regional developments and exchanged views.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement it published on the X social media network, said that in this meeting, Faisal bin Farhan discussed with Muhammad Ishaq Dar the efforts made to curb tensions through diplomatic solutions.

Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, along with Turkey, are members of the Mecca Defense Pact, and all three countries have agreed on defending their common interests.

On the other hand, Pakistan is considered the main mediator in the military tension between the United States and the Islamic Republic.
