The IRGC Navy said on Monday morning, 9 Shahrivar 1405, that what it called a “rogue super-tanker” suffered “terrible fires” after colliding with two naval mines while transiting through the southern route of the Strait of Hormuz and that it has been completely unable to continue moving.

In its statement, the IRGC did not specify what violation the tanker committed while passing through the Strait of Hormuz, which is an international strait and a free waterway. The name of the tanker and the country to which the vessel belongs were also not announced.
