Barak Ravid, a journalist at Axios, wrote on the X network, citing U.S. officials, that U.S. forces targeted two Iranian launch platforms at Larak. According to these officials, the IRGC forces were preparing to fire rockets carrying naval mines into the Strait of Hormuz.

Al Jazeera, citing an unnamed U.S. official, also confirmed the attack on the IRGC launch platforms on Larak Island.
