The National Tax Administration says that despite economic and wartime conditions, tax revenues have increased by 46% in the first four months of this year.

The agency announced that in the first four months of 1405, it collected about 577 trillion tomans in tax revenue.

In recent years, the government has sharply increased taxes to make up for the drop in oil revenues, and in the current year’s budget total tax and customs revenues have been estimated at about 2,961 trillion tomans.

Thus, despite the 46% growth in tax collection in the first four months of this year, there is a significant shortfall in the collection of the tax revenues targeted by the government in the aforementioned period.

Earlier, Mohammad Hadi Sobhani, the head of the National Tax Administration, had expressed doubt about the realization of the tax revenues for the current year and said that it may be necessary for an amendment to be made to the 1405 budget.
