The number of foreign observers at this year’s federal elections has surpassed the record set during the 2024 presidential election, Russian Central Election Commission Chairwoman Ella Pamfilova said at an international conference held at the commission’s information center.

“It turns out we have broken the record. I am extremely grateful to you and thank you for that. At the presidential election, as you can see, there were 1,115 representatives from a record 129 countries. This year, we have even more observers and international experts — 1,126 from 133 countries,” Pamfilova noted.
