🔸The President of the University of Tehran, at a press conference on Saturday, 24 Mordad, announced that for two students of this university, in connection with the protests of Dey 1404, expulsion orders have been issued.
🔸Mohammad-Hossein Omid described the charges against these students as “insulting the flag of the Islamic Republic” and said that their case is in the appeals stage.
🔸Mr. Omid also said that the cases of some other students who “had damaged the university or insulted sacred matters” have been handled or are being handled by the disciplinary board.
🔸In recent months, media outlets had reported the formation of a new wave of disciplinary cases and the issuance of harsh rulings for students at several universities in Iran.
🔸At today’s press conference, the President of the University of Tehran also said that there is no “morality patrol” at the university.
