🔸The two-month deadline that had repeatedly been emphasized in the Islamabad understandings ended on Monday, 26 Mordad, while Iran and the United States ultimately failed to reach a specific outcome on an agreement within the timeframe they had set.
🔸The text of the Iran–U.S. war-ending understanding, known as the “Islamabad understandings,” was signed in the early hours of Thursday, 28 Khordad 1405, by the presidents of Iran and the United States.
🔸Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of Iran, and Donald Trump, his U.S. counterpart, signed the text of the understandings digitally and remotely within a short time.
🔸Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan and the main mediator of the talks between the two sides, at the same time wrote on the X network: “Iran opens the Strait of Hormuz without delay, and the United States promptly lifts the maritime blockade of Iran’s ports.”
🔸Now, after 60 days, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps continues to insist that the Strait of Hormuz is closed, and the U.S. Army has once again established a maritime blockade of Iran’s ports.
